The JINA collaboration held the "Frontiers 2005"
workshop at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI during August
20 - 22, 2005. The symposium aimed at giving young researchers a chance
to present their work. There were 78 participants, most of which were
young people - students and postdocs - from the area of nuclear astrophysics.
The meeting provided an informal forum for researchers
in nuclear astrophysics and closely related areas of astronomy and
astrophysics to describe recent and/or planned research. Talks and
discussions spread the entire breadth of the JINA program.
This is the first of a series of meetings, to be
held every other year, that aim to bring together all of JINA, JINA
collaborators and other interested researchers to discuss current
research activities.
