Notre Dame, November 22, 2004 |
Dear Colleagues, We intend to have a two day meeting at the University of Notre Dame, IN, USA on January 28-29, 2005 for members and collaborators of JINA to discuss the latest developments and present topics of interest in the physics of the r-process. The main goal of this meeting is to present on-going r-process related JINA activities and to identify new efforts and new collaborations to strengthen the JINA r-process program. Despite the relatively short notice we hope that you will be able to participate in the meeting. In the tradition of previous JINA meetings we intend to organize the meeting as a two day open discussion round with only short contributions summarizing present efforts or out-lining future plans and possibilities which would benefit the JINA program. These contributions will be limited to 15 minutes only. We want to encourage the participation of students and postdocs working on r-process related topics. To ensure optimum conditions and atmosphere for a lively discussion and informal information exchange we unfortunately need to limit the number of participants to less than 25. If you are interested please fill out the participant form and submit it through the JINA webpage (http://archive.jinaweb.org). Deadline for submission is January 10, 2005. For further information on travel and housing please contact Kathy Burgess (kburgess@nd.edu). Here are two helpful links for visitors: |
