Summer Camp @ University of Notre Dame The theme for the 2009 program was Sensing Our World Go GreeND! The program involved students in both understanding and responding to some of the most serious problems threatening our planet. They learned about the fundamental forces underlying super-conductivity, solar radiation, the physics of energy, how chemists are developing biodegradable alternatives to consumer goods, the malaria parasite in human evolution, environmental philosophy, and ecological adaptation. They also investigated the lakes and forested areas on campus, and toured the ND power plant. This year's talented and generous teaching and special projects staff featured: We are especially grateful to the Sponsors of Sensing Our World Go GreeND!, for their financial support that confirms our belief that todays children are our most valuable natural resource and most worthy of investment. Tomorrows science leaders will come from inspired, motivated, and encouraged students who have the curiosity to imagine and dream without limits. Dr. H. Gordon Berry
