This camp is an extension of JINA's Art 2 Science
after-school programs which seek to ignite stellar imaginations
through an integrated STEAM approach to learning. Participants
learn about math, science, and engineering through creative hands-on
projects including art projects. Activities are designed by collaborations
with local artists, science teachers, and more! For examples, see the sample schedule and highlight videos below.

Application Information:
*New changes this year!*
To be able to serve all interested children, we are expanding the camp and
removing the application process! We will host two identical sessions in
July. Please only register for one session.
We are replacing the former Friday schedule with a field trip to Kalamazoo,
MI. All campers will visit both The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts
and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. There will not be an art show on the last day and
we may return slightly after 5pm. To offset the cost of transportation, we
are also increasing camp fees slightly.
Registration Information:
Registration for the 2018 Art 2 Science Camp is now available!
Counselor Applications:
All counselors positions have been filled for 2018.
Fee Information
---
The camp fees are based on a sliding scale according to your household
eligibility school lunch fees. Payment is due at the time of registration.
If you homeschool, or don't know your lunch eligibility, please see the
information here:http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/governance/notices/iegs/iegs.htm
If your family pays full lunch prices (or would at a typical public
school), the camp fee will be $200. If your family pays a reduced fee for lunches, the camp fee will be $75 per
child. If your family is eligible for free lunches or SNAP, the camp will be free
for your children.
Our philosophy is that no child should be denied an educational experience
due to finances. If you would like a discount for multiple children or if
the fees above would pose a hardship for your family please contact the
camp director @ mkilburn@nd.edu. You can also contact us if you would
prefer to pay by check or money order.
Educators: If you are an artist or scientist interested in leading an activity, please contact jinaout@nd.edu with a short statement about your experience and the type of activities you are interested in leading. We have many to choose from, or can incorporate new ideas.
